Let The TAG Method guide you to becoming clear, grounded, and confident in the face of human suffering.

Join our 20-session live, online immersion for all people who work with folks who are struggling, and want practical, embodied mastery they can trust in any room, with any nervous system, without scripts or rigid protocols.

This Is Where Trauma Competence
Becomes Trauma Confidence

You may already know trauma theory.

You may already recognize nervous system responses.

You definitely already care deeply about doing this work well.

And still—there are moments when something essential feels just out of reach.

A client decompensates without warning.
A nervous system floods and won’t settle.

Parts appear that even the client didn’t know existed.
A medicine journey opens something too big, too fast.
Healing stalls and everyone is talked out.

In those moments, it’s not information you’re missing—it’s a reliable internal anchor.

The responsibility is real.
The ethical pressure is real.
The quiet fear of getting it wrong is real.
The potential for causing harm is real.

The TAG Method Foundational Course exists for those who no longer want to rely on instinct alone—or stack another intervention on top of an already full toolbox.

This training is about integration, attunement, and confidence that lives in your body—not just your mind.

So you can meet intensity without bracing, and complexity without freezing.

Why a 20-Session Course?

Embodied learning takes time—and relationship.

The 20-session TAG Method Foundational Course is our most comprehensive offering: a live, relational immersion designed to support lasting transformation in how you work with trauma and how you experience yourself as a practitioner.

Over 40 hours, you don’t just learn The TAG Method.

You practice it repeatedly.

You feel it working in your own nervous system.

You learn how to recognize trauma reactions/responses rarely talked about but frequently present.

You develop confidence that doesn’t disappear under pressure.

This pace is intentional—slow enough to integrate, deep enough to change you.

By the end of the training, something fundamental shifts.

You stop second-guessing yourself mid-session.

You trust your presence as a healing container.

You know how to create the conditions for deep transformation.

What This Training Actually Gives You

Graduates consistently report:

  • Confidence holding trauma without needing the full story, or any story
  • The ability to work non-verbally with comfort and ease
  • Tools that adapt across populations and settings
  • A regulated nervous system that doesn’t collapse under intensity
  • Clear ethical decision-making in complex clinical moments
  • Renewed energy and longevity in their work
  • A theoretical foundation of unconditional positive regard and open curiosity

This is not about doing more…

It’s about being more—with presence, compassion, and sustainability.

Training Format & Structure

The TAG Method Foundational Course is a LIVE, online program.

  • 20 live sessions
    • 2 hours per session
    • 40 total training hours
  • Conducted over Zoom, with the goal of replicating an in-person classroom to the best of all of our abilities (learners included).

You’re not watching this work. You’re inhabiting it.

Cohort Options

Two cohorts run in parallel:

  • Tuesdays, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern
  • Wednesdays, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Eastern

Each cohort is capped at 20 participants to ensure personal attention, real dialogue, and ample space for integration and questions.

Real confidence is built in community, not anonymity.

How the Learning Unfolds

This training is intentionally paced to support real integration.

The First Half of the Course

  • TAG Method foundations
  • Trauma conceptualization and nervous system literacy
  • Neurobiology of memory, protection, and reprocessing
  • Learning to recognize Keys and Gates in real time

In this phase you learn to listen with your eyes and hear what’s actually happening with your clients.

The Second Half of the Course

  • Gems from other models such as IFS, Dance/movement therapy, HeartMath, Family Systems, and more!
  • Tools for nervous system regulation
  • Experiential practice
  • Case discussions
  • Deeper embodiment and refinement
  • Integration into your existing work

This is where The TAG Method stops feeling new and starts feeling natural.

What Live Sessions Are Like

This is not a slide-based lecture series.

Each live session includes:

  • Somatic exercises
  • Guided self-inquiry
  • Case-based discussions
  • Spacious Q&A
  • Real-time integration
  • Video on and mic unmuted for everyone

You’ll also have access to Office Hours with Katherine and Maria, where individual questions and nuances can be explored more deeply.

Between sessions, cohort members connect through an online classroom—sharing reflections, questions, and insights as the learning deepens.

A Brave, Boundaried Learning Space

This training welcomes diverse identities, backgrounds, and perspectives.

It is not a traditionally “safe” space. It is a brave one.

That means honest inquiry, respectful challenge, and accountability for language and impact.

That being said, there is no tolerance for racist, misogynistic, queerphobic, antiimmigrant, or ableist rhetoric. Language shapes perception, and perception shapes healing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a licensed therapist to take this training?

No. Many participants are licensed clinicians, but the training is open to all professionals who work directly with people.

Is this a beginner-level course?

Yes. While many people will have some basic trauma knowledge, none is necessary to take this course. For people with extensive trauma knowledge, they will learn how we conceptualize trauma and the ways we have distilled complex concepts.

Is this protocol-based?

No. The TAG Method is intentionally anti-protocol. You’ll learn a flexible framework that adapts to real humans, not scripts.

Will this work with how I currently work?

Most likely. The TAG Method integrates seamlessly with most therapeutic, medical, somatic, and medicine-based approaches.

Is this experiential?

Yes. While grounded in neuroscience, this training emphasizes embodied learning, felt sense, and real-world application.

How much time should I realistically plan for?

Plan for approximately 5+ hours per week, including live sessions and integration work.

What happens after I graduate?

Graduates are invited into the TAG Graduate Forum, an ongoing space for connection, learning, and community. There is also a free monthly consult group that all graduates are welcome to attend. Our goal is for the graduates of all our trainings to become community that supports one another.

A Final Invitation

You didn’t arrive at this work by accident.

At some point—long before the degrees, the trainings, the caseloads—you recognized something essential about human suffering.

You saw that people don’t just need answers or diagnoses.

They need to be met. They need to be seen.

They need someone who can stay present when things get intense, confusing, or wordless.

They need someone whose nervous system doesn’t disappear when theirs does.

That knowing is what made you a healer.

And yet, the work has likely asked more of you than you were ever taught how to hold.

More complexity. More trauma. More responsibility.

More moments where the stakes feel impossibly high.

The TAG Method exists because healers deserve support too.

It exists so that you don’t have to brace yourself before sessions.

So that you don’t have to rely on guesswork when trauma surfaces, and so your presence can become a steady, trustworthy anchor—again and again.

So that the work doesn’t follow you home and drain you dry.

This training is about coming home to the practitioner you were always meant to be—clear, grounded, and confident in the face of human pain.

If you feel the quiet pull of this work…

If you know you’re meant to do this differently, more sustainably, more effectively…

We would be honored to walk this journey with you.

Registration for the upcoming cohort will open soon.

Spots are intentionally limited.

If you’re ready to make this investment in your capacity to keep saying yes to this work—without losing yourself in the process…

We look forward to welcoming you.
